Impasto Oil Painting Style

from $45.00

Thick, loaded brushwork and deep, quiet color — your animal rendered the way a commissioned oil portrait is rendered, with the marks still showing.

Exceptional detail. Real depth.

Created from your own photograph, in the background accent color you choose. Not a filter, not a template. Every piece is worked individually, and no two are alike.

Background Color - Mustard, Cranberry, Teal, Payne's Grey, Pewter, Chambray, Garden, Ribbon Candy, Mistletoe, Not sure — I'll send a photo of the room

How it works

2. Send me your photographs— Two or three clear pictures is ideal.

3. You see a proof within 24 hours.

4. Nothing is printed until you tell me it's right.

After you order, you’ll get an email with a link to send me your photos. Two or three clear pictures is ideal.

Choosing your photograph

Taken at your pet's eye level, in daylight if you can, close enough that their face fills a good part of the frame. Ears forward, a catchlight in the eye. If you're not sure, send it anyway and I'll tell you honestly whether it will work.

The print

Archival pigment inks on heavyweight fine art paper — acid-free, with inks rated to resist fading for over a hundred years. Giclée printing, one at a time.

Framed pieces come in a solid black or walnut moulding, dry mounted and backed, glazed with shatter-resistant acrylic rather than glass, and fitted with hanging wire. Ready to hang out of the box.

Every framed portrait includes a free 8x10 print. One for the wall at home, one for your desk at work.

10% of every sale goes to Senior Dogs and Friends Rescue. When an old dog loses their person, they're frightened and they have nobody. Your portrait helps one of them.

Your photograph is never sold or shared.

Senior Dogs and Friends Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Purchases are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
